Went to Holland, Michigan for their Tulips Festival last year and one of the local shops made a handmade candles. They make the candle in front of you. They dip the wax in different layers of colors, dried it up for few minutes, they carved it like what you see above and below. You can choose what colors you want to your candle. And voila you have your own handmade candle.

ReplyDeleteWe went to that festival once, at least 20 years ago, and they were selling those beautiful candles back then, too. Makes for an interesting photo!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I have an aunt who used to make candles - cat candles, beer mug candles, even Hotei - but I don't think any of her candles were as nice as this. And they certainly weren't carved!
